Support Services

The municipal Economic Development departments and local Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDC’s) work in collaboration in communities across Northwestern Ontario to help entrepreneurs and new and existing businesses to maintain a positive environment for economic success.

Both agencies provide essential business supports at the community level and are a consistent source of relevant information about the local economy, advice on business practices and planning, workshops, and connections to decision-makers.

If you are a new entrepreneur or business owner, Small Business Enterprise Centres will be a valuable resource to you. Programs and supports are provided to help you start and grow a business. Each centre is staffed with dedicated business professionals who help you determine what you need to do before, during and after launching your business.

Business owners, employees and entrepreneurs in Northwestern Ontario can join the Chamber of Commerce or related business association in their business area.
