There are also a number of websites that enable you to take your first steps towards getting a job in NWO.

Pre-departure services
Destination Canada is presented by the Embassy of Canada in France with support from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and in partnership with public agencies for employment and international mobility: Pôle emploi international in France and FOREM, Actiris International , and VDAB in Belgium. Destination Canada is an annual event in support of the Roadmap for Official Languages which aims to inform French speaking candidates of the opportunities available to them to live and work in Canada.

A program of Laurentian University and destined to help immigrants gain employment and/or their professional designations (e.g. engineering, finance or IT). Clients need to meet minimum requirements, such as being Canadian citizens, permanent residents or convention refugees, have earned their degree or diploma outside of Canada, have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in their field and have a language proficiency of CLB 7. The employment officer in Thunder Bay speaks who serves all of the NWO region speaks French. |
